Directions:

  1. Drain and rinse beans.
  2. In a deep sauce pot, cook the bacon til crisp and render out all fat.
  3. Saute garlic in fat.
  4. Dump in beans, beer, tomatoes and seasonings.
  5. Cook over medium-low heat for 30 to 45 minutes to reduce the liquid and concentrate the flavors.
  6. ******Note, no onions in the recipe unlike the scratch recipe,
  7. My friends are extremely sensitive to onions and I adapted the heat level for them too*****
