Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk; stir with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened.
  2. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; roll to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into assorted shapes with cookie cutters; place crackers 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets. Prick top of each cracker several times with tines of a fork. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks. Serve with soups or stews.
  3. Note: Crackers may be stored in airtight containers.
