Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl mix together 2 tablespoons of peanut oil, soy sauce, brandy, five-spice powder, sugar, ginger root, onions and garlic.
  2. Add chicken pieces and coat evenly.
  3. Let stand for 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour add in beaten egg.
  5. Put cornstrach in a plate or bowl, dip each chicken piece in cornstrach and coat evenly.
  6. In a wok heat remaining oil over medium heat.
  7. Add chicken and deep fry for 4 minutes.
  8. Increase heat and deep fry for 2 minutes until nice and golden.
  9. Using a slotted spoon remove chicken and drain on paper towel.
