Egyptian Rice With Spicy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Heat the oil & saute the onion but do not let it brown. Add the rice to the pan & cook for 2 minutes or until the rice becomes translucent.
  3. Place the rice, water, chicken stock, & spices in an ovenproof casserole dish. Cook uncovered for 20 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Heat the tomato sauce & harissa in a pan, add salt & pepper if needed. Serve the rice mixed with the spicy tomato sauce.
