Spinach And Bacon Mac Amp Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 3 cup. shell pasta
  • 4-6 slices bacon , crisp
  • 2 tblsp. flour
  • 2 cup. milk
  • 1/4 cup. paremesan

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Cook noodles according to directions
  3. Add the spinach to the noodles for the last minute
  4. Drain well, set aside in a large bowl for mixing
  5. Fry the bacon until crisp, chop,
  6. Add to the shells and spinach
  7. Gradually add the flour to the drippings in the pan
  8. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly
  9. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly
  10. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly 3-5 minutes until thickened
  11. Remove from heat, add 1 c. of the cheddar and the parm, stir until melted
  12. Pour resulting mixture over the noodles, spinach and bacon
  13. Mix well
  14. Put in a 1 1/2 qt. casserole, top with the last cup of cheddar
  15. Bake for 20 minutes.
