Ingredients:

  • 10 strips of bacon
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 6 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds

Directions:

  1. Cook bacon, reserving drippings
  2. Crumble bacon
  3. Add sugar and vinegar to bacon drippings
  4. Layer *half* of the drained green beans in casserole dish
  5. Add *half* the crumbled bacon
  6. Add *half* the almonds
  7. Repeat layers
  8. Pour prepared drippings over all
  9. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes or until heated through
  10. Okay, nothing else will make this recipe taste like this and give it the flavor, except the drippings mixture.. ....sorry. :)
