Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix together ingredients 2 through 5 to make a marinade.
  2. Marinate the tuna steaks for at least 10 minutes (I tend to buy sashimi grade tuna medallions/steaks).
  3. Pour the two oils into a frying pan, preferably non-stick or anodized, and heat over low-medium flame.
  4. Place the tuna steaks in the hot oil.
  5. Pour one teaspoon corn starch onto each tuna steak, then one teaspoon sesame seeds and half the fresh ground black pepper.
  6. After about 4 minutes, flip the steak over. Cover the other side with 1 teaspoon sesame seeds and the rest of the fresh ground black pepper.
  7. Cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  8. Flip the tuna steak over one last time for about 1 min to toast the sesame seeds.
  9. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
