Ingredients:

  • 2 medium beetroots, raw
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 100 ml breadcrumbs
  • 200 ml sparkling water or 200 ml water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Chop onion finely and grate beetroots. Fry in butter until soft. Add vinegar and honey and cool down.
  2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs and sparkling water. Mix and let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Add spices, cooled down onion-beet mixture, egg and the ground beef. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Make into patties and fry until done.
  5. Serve with mashed potatoes.
