Although this is hamburger type food, typically it wouldn't be served in a bun, but with mashed potatoes. Ingredients:
1 onion |
2 medium beetroots, raw |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
2 teaspoons honey |
100 ml breadcrumbs |
200 ml sparkling water or 200 ml water |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon black pepper |
1 teaspoon oregano |
1 egg |
500 g ground beef |
Directions:
1. Chop onion finely and grate beetroots. Fry in butter until soft. Add vinegar and honey and cool down. 2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs and sparkling water. Mix and let sit for 15 minutes. 3. Add spices, cooled down onion-beet mixture, egg and the ground beef. Mix thoroughly. 4. Make into patties and fry until done. 5. Serve with mashed potatoes. |
