Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Sautee onion, garlic, and carrot in oil.
  2. Add stock and 2 cups water.
  3. Add split peas and bayleaf.
  4. Bring to a low boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low.
  6. Let simmer for one hour or until peas are soft.
  7. Use a rotary blender (boat motor), blender, or food processor until smooth (add water to thin if too thick).
  8. Stir in ham, sourcream, and season to taste.
