Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place the eggs gently in an empty pot. Fill the pot with enough cold tap water to completely cover eggs with about 1 inch or 3 cm of water over them. Add enough salt to make the water taste salty. Bring the water to the point of boiling, over high heat. As soon as the water boils, remove from heat. Don't remove the lid. Leave the eggs in the hot water for ten to fifteen minutes. Chill the eggs by placing them under cold running water or in a bowl of ice water. Let them sit for a few minutes until the egg is completely cooled. Peel eggs and slice into 1/6th's each.
  2. Cut 'X' in bottom of tomatoes. Boil for 2 minutes; remove and let cool briefly. Peel and slice into 1/4th's. De-seed and use shells in salad
  3. Blend pepper, salt, and shallots into small bowl on the side. Stir in oil and vinegar gradually
  4. Layer ingredients as desired, preferably with top layers of cheese and eggs. Use half of dressing to pour in between each layer as done. Top salad with remaining half. Pepper more if desired.
  5. Chill for 2 hours before serving
