Five Bean and Bacon Bake

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Fry bacon until done, not crisp; drain.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Reserve 2 T. bacon drippings in skillet.
  4. Reduce heat and add onions, brown sugar, vinegar and garlic powder to skillet.
  5. Stir well.
  6. Cover and cook 2 minutes or until onions are slightly soft.
  7. Then drain and combine butter beans, green beans, green lima beans and dark red kidney beans.
  8. Mix undrained baked beans with above bean mixture.
  9. Combine bean mixture, onion mixture and one half of the bacon slices (crumbled) in a 3 quart casserole.
  10. Top with remaining bacon slices.
  11. Bake, uncovered 1 hour in 350 oven.
