Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cups apple juice (2-6 oz. cans)

Directions:

  1. Core pears but do not peel.
  2. Place in greased 9 square pan.
  3. Combine oats, sugar, spices and butter until crumbly.
  4. Stuff pears letting excess fall into pan.
  5. Pour 3/4 cup apple juice into pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour, basting after 30 minutes. Add more juice if necessary.
  7. Cool 30 minutes before serving.
