Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cornmeal
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups milk

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Combine oil, eggs and milk together and mix well.
  3. Stir dry ingredients into liquid ingredients just until blended; do not over-mix.
  4. Pour into a well-buttered 9x13 inch pan or an equivalent-size cast-iron skillet.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or til done.
