Smoked Mussel And Shrimp Chowder

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Brown bacon in large skillet. Remove bacon and drain fat, reserving 1 tablespoon. Add potatoes, celery, onion and garlic to reserved bacon fat and fry until potatoes are semi-tender.
  2. Meanwhile, heat clam broth and cream in a large kettle. Add potato mixture to cream. Add butter and bacon and bring to a low simmer. Cook until potatoes are very tender. Add mussels and shrimp and cook for 10 minutes until shrimp are pink. Add salt and pepper to taste, dried tarragon and parsley. Cook for 3 minutes more. Add chives and serve.
