Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In large bowl, combine buttermilk and ranch dressing; blend well.
  2. Add onions which have been separated into rings and toss until well coated.
  3. Cover, refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.
  4. Fill large deep fry pot or electric skillet to no more than half its depth with canola oil. Heat oil to 325°F to 350°F.
  5. In large bowl - combine flour, garlic salt, lemon pepper, and cayenne pepper; blend well.
  6. Working in small batches, place onion rings into flour mixture; coat well.
  7. Remove, dip into egg mixture.
  8. Return rings to flour mixture. Coat well.
  9. Lightly shake off excess flour.
  10. Fry until golden brown.
  11. Drain on paper towels.
  12. Sprinkle with additional garlic salt if desired.
