Lemony Picnic Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 6 tbsp butter or 6 tbsp margarine
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp thyme

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine the flour, salt, and paprika.
  3. Coat chicken pieces with seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Melt butter in a baking pan.
  5. Add chicken and coat with butter on all sides.
  6. Arrange chicken in a single layer.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes.
  8. In the meantime, prepare the lemon baste by mixing all ingredients.
  9. Pour half the baste over the chicken.
  10. Turn over the chicken pieces and pour the rest of the baste over it.
  11. Continue baking 30 more minutes , or until chicken is brown and tender.
