Irish Potato Brown Bread (Bread Machine)

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3 tbsp butter , cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp gluten , plus
  • 2 tsp gluten
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp rapid acting yeast (or 2 1/2 tsp. bread machine yeast)

Directions:

  1. Add the ingredients to the pan according to the order in the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Set crust on medium and program for the Whole Wheat cycle; press Start.
  3. When the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack.
  4. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.
