Green Beans With Basil-mint

Ingredients:

  • 6 cup water
  • 2 lbs. fresh green beans,trimmed if desired
  • 2 cloves garlic,chopped
  • 1/2cshreaded fresh basil
  • 1/3cup shreaded fresh mint
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:

  1. In 4qt. dutch oven bring water to a boil. Add green beans and return to boiling;reduce heat. Simmer,uncovered,for 7-8 mins or till beans are crisp-tender,adding garlic the last minute of cooking. Drain
  2. Meanwhile,in a large bowl,combine basil,mint,red pepper,olive oil and salt. Add grained green beans and garlic. Toss gently to combine.
