Green Beans With Basil-mint |

Great green bean side dish. The basil and mint add a nice flavor. Ingredients:
6c water |
2lbs. fresh green beans,trimmed if desired |
2 cloves garlic,chopped |
1/2cshreaded fresh basil |
1/3c shreaded fresh mint |
1 small red pepper,chopped |
2tbs. olive oil |
1/2tsp. salt |
Directions:
1. In 4qt. dutch oven bring water to a boil. Add green beans and return to boiling;reduce heat. Simmer,uncovered,for 7-8 mins or till beans are crisp-tender,adding garlic the last minute of cooking. Drain 2. Meanwhile,in a large bowl,combine basil,mint,red pepper,olive oil and salt. Add grained green beans and garlic. Toss gently to combine. |
