Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Put sugar and vinegar in small saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Boil 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Stir in chosen herb.
  6. Refrigerate until cool.
  7. Combine with cabbage (and optional ingredients, if desired). This gets better when allowed to rest several hours, but it's ready to eat after an hour.
