Ingredients:

  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Directions:

  1. Sift flour and salt together.
  2. Beat eggs into flour mixture.
  3. Add milk gradually to make a heavy dough.
  4. Put dough on a small board or plate; cut off small pieces with a knife.
  5. Drop dough pieces into rapidly boiling salted water.
  6. Boil 8 minutes or until spaetzle float to top.
  7. Remove spaetzle; put in a colander.
  8. Wash with cold water; drain.
  9. Saute in butter until golden.
  10. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
