Easy Berry Freezer Jam

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 3/4 oz dry pectin
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

  1. Combine strawberries and sugar in a bowl. Allow to sit for 20 minutes or so, stirring occasionally.
  2. Combine pectin and water in a saucepan, and bring to a boil.
  3. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Stir the pectin into the strawberry-sugar
  5. Mixture; continue stirring for 3 minutes.
  6. Pour into wide-mouth freezer jars, leaving 1/2-inch head space.
  7. Adjust caps and let stand until set, but no more than 24 hours.
  8. Freeze.
  9. Makes about 5 half pints.
