Chicken Paprika

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4-1/2 cup oil
  • 1 (29 oz) can tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Wash chicken and dry.
  2. Mix flour,1t salt,1t paperika and 1/4t pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In Large deep skillet add oil.
  5. Coat chicken in flour add to oil.
  6. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  7. Turn the chicken over and cook another ten minutes or until chicken is lightly brown.
  8. Cover this it will make less mess this way.
  9. When done remove chicken.
  10. Add onion and cook until tender.
  11. Stir in puree,1T paperika,2t salt,1/4t pepper.
  12. Add chicken and cover tightly.
  13. Simmer for 30 minutes or until chicken is done.
  14. Remove chicken and sour cream, heat till warm.
  15. Add Sauce to top of chicken.
  16. What I have found with this recipe it is best to some time lift them chicken as it is cooking as it can burn some times on the bottom.
