Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Using large soup pot combine water and chicken base then heat and mix well.
  2. Add onion, celery, carrots and chicken.
  3. Add food coloring and bring to boil.
  4. Continue to boil while making dumplings.
  5. To make dumplings gradually add flour and salt to eggs mixing with wooden spoon.
  6. Continue to add flour until firm yet sticky dough is formed.
  7. When vegetables are tender transfer dumpling dough to plate.
  8. With plate near boiling broth cut off bits of dough the size of small eggs with large serving spoon.
  9. Drop into broth and cook until dumplings float to top.
