Ingredients:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup thinly sliced bananas

Directions:

  1. Beat egg yolks until thickened.
  2. Add milk and shortening.
  3. Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside.
  4. Sift the dry ingredients together and add to the yolk mixture.
  5. Fold the beaten egg whites
  6. Into this mixture and gently stir in bananas.
  7. Pour batter into a hot waffle iron and bake for 3 minutes.
