Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place potatoes in a Dutch oven and cover with water.
  2. Cover and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer 20-25 minutes until potatoes are very tender.
  4. Drain well.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, mash potatoes.
  6. Add sour cream, cream cheese, 3 tablespoons butter, onion salt and pepper; beat until nice and fluffy.
  7. Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish.
  8. Dot with remaining butter and bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven; sprinkle with the Frenches fried onion then return to oven.
  10. Bake an additional 5 minutes.
