Sugar Plum Raisin Squares

Ingredients:

  • bottom layer
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients for bottom layer and pat on the bottom of a 13 x 9 inch pan.
  2. Bake at 325* for 15 min.
  3. While bottom is baking, combine the top layer ingredients.
  4. Pour mixture on hot crust.
  5. Bake an additional 20 minutes.
  6. Cool in pan.
  7. Cut into bars before completely cooled.
