Directions:

  1. For cabbage and meat balls:
  2. Mix ground beef and turkey together and roll into 32 1oz. meatballs.
  3. Cut or dice cabbage into strips or bite sized pieces.
  4. Put cabbage, meatballs, cranberries and 4 cups of water into large pot cook over medium heat until cabbage has softened. Add tomatoe paste and stir well, simmer for 1 hour. Add lemon juice and simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Makes about 8 - 10 servings, add more water and you have a Russian Cabbage Borscht.
