Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Beat shortening, sugar and eggs until fluffy then blend in sour cream and orange peel.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt then gradually add to mixture.
  3. Mix nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon in separate bowl.
  4. Spread half the batter into greased and floured 9” pan.
  5. Sprinkle with raisins and half the nut mixture.
  6. Spoon on remaining batter and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle with remaining nut mixture.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
