Sirloin Tips With Garlic Butter Stroganoff

Ingredients:

  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin , cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 tbsp sherry wine
  • 1/4 cup half-and-half

Directions:

  1. Combine the first five ingredients, stir well and divide in half.
  2. Melt 3 tablespoons of the butter mixture in a skillet on med-high heat.
  3. Add onion and cook 3 minutes until golden.
  4. Add mushrooms and cook about 4 minutes until tender.
  5. Remove from skillet.
  6. Sprinkle steak with salt & pepper.
  7. Melt the other 3 tablespoons of butter over medium high heat and add steak.
  8. Cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
  9. Return onion/mushroom mix to skillet and stir in sherry and half and half.
  10. Cook till thoroughly heated through and serve over rice or egg noodles.
