Pork Chops in Onion Sauce (Schweinekotelett in Zwiebelsosse)

Ingredients:

  • salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Season chops with salt and pepper; coat with flour.
  2. Heat oil, add chops, fry each side 3 minutes.
  3. Add onions, cook 5 minutes turning chops once.
  4. Pour in beer and broth.
  5. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  6. Remove chops to a 350 degree preheated oven.
  7. Season sauce to taste.
  8. Blend cornstarch with small amount of water, stir into sauce, cook until thick and bubbly.
  9. Pour over pork chops and serve.
