Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup milk or 3/4 cup half-and-half
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Mix first 8 ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Add ground beef and mix by hand just until blended.
  3. Place mixture on a broiler pan, and shape into a loaf.
  4. Bake at 350°F for one hour.
  5. Mix topping ingredients together.
  6. Top meatloaf with topping and bake an additional 15 minutes or until loaf cooked through.
