Family favorite for years. Ingredients:
2 eggs, beaten |
3/4 cup milk or 3/4 cup half-and-half |
2/3 cup dry breadcrumbs |
2 tablespoons grated onions |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon sage |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese |
1 1/2 lbs ground beef |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 cup ketchup |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix first 8 ingredients in a large bowl. 2. Add ground beef and mix by hand just until blended. 3. Place mixture on a broiler pan, and shape into a loaf. 4. Bake at 350°F for one hour. 5. Mix topping ingredients together. 6. Top meatloaf with topping and bake an additional 15 minutes or until loaf cooked through. |
