Moms Bread Stuffing

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf bread
  • 3 pieces celery
  • 1/2 onion
  • 4 sticks butter
  • 1 heaping tsp sage
  • 5 eggs

Directions:

  1. Toast the loaf of bread in the oven.
  2. Break the toasted bread into bite size pieces in a large bowl.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan.
  4. Add the celery and onion into the butter after dicing and simmer until soft.
  5. Remove butter mixture from heat and add sage and salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add eggs one by one and stir quickly.
  7. Pour the mixture over the bread and fold in until the bread is well coated.
  8. Stuff into turkey and cook turkey as directed.
