Ingredients:

  • 2 lb pork baby back ribs - ask your butcher to remove the silverskin and cut rack in half down the middle
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp mirin
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp each of honey , vinegar , soy and mirin

Directions:

  1. For marinade, combine all ingredients in a large plastic ziplock bag.
  2. Cut ribs in between bones and trim off excess fat. Place ribs in bag, seal bag tightly and shake to marinade gets all over the ribs. Place in large bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is fine), turning bag occasionally.
  3. Place ribs in large baking dish (with marinade) and cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350ºF for 1 hour or until ribs are tender.
  4. Line a baking sheet with foil and transfer ribs from baking dish to the baking sheet. Disgard the marinade.
  5. For glaze:
  6. Combine 1 tablespoon of each: honey, vinegar, soy, mirin in bowl. Mix and brush 1/2 of mix on ribs.
  7. Broil about 4-6 from heat til glazed (2-3 minutes). Turn and brush with rest of glaze, broil again.
  8. Transfer to serving platter and garnish with green onions, if desired
