Homemade Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
  2. Cover, and cook on low for 3 hours.
  3. Use on hamburger buns, sausage, pork chops, ribs, chicken, steaks, turkey or fish.
