Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup small chunk maple sugar

Directions:

  1. Sift together first 4 ingredients.
  2. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. Add milk and mix only until all flour is dampened.
  4. Spread into a well greased skillet or pan then brush top with melted butter.
  5. Sprinkle with chunk maple sugar and bake for 20 minutes at 450.
