  1. Slice the bread into 1/2 inch cubes and put in a roomy bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Add to the bread and mix well. Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the apples, celery, and onion and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes. Add to the bowl with the bread and mix well. Add the walnuts, oranges, orange juice, orange peel and poultry seasoning and mix until thoroughly blended. Place in a casserole dish and cover with a lid or foil and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove the cover or foil for the last 5-10 minutes of baking for a nice golden color.
