Ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in bowl. Add the chocolate chips (or optional ingredient, such as dried fruit).
  3. Stir in the cream with a fork until dough holds together in a sticky mass (you may need to add a tablespoon or more of cream until dough holds together).
  4. Turn dough out on a highly floured board. Knead several times.
  5. Pat dough into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges (or other shape as desired).
  6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  7. Brush dough with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
  8. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
