Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups dates, cut up and packed

Directions:

  1. Cook milk, sugar, and butter until it threads.
  2. Add dates and vanilla.
  3. Cook until it looks like jelly.
  4. Add nuts and roll in a wet towel, wrung out in cold water.
  5. Let stand overnight or about 8 hrs.
  6. Slice thin.
  7. Cook time is chilling time.
