Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup soft shortening (butter can be substituted)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups blueberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 1/2-1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Grease and flour a 9x9 or 7x11 pan.
  2. Mix sugar, shortening and egg thoroughly.
  3. Stir in milk.
  4. Blend dry ingredients.
  5. Carefully blend in blueberries.
  6. Spread batter in pan.
  7. Mix ingredients for topping and blend with pastry blender (or knife).
  8. Sprinkle cake with topping.
  9. Bake at 375°F for 35 minutes.
