Almond Macaroni Custard

Ingredients:

  • for the custard
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • topping mix
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. For the custard combine all custard ingredients except macaroni in a blender
  3. Blend for 2 minutes
  4. Pour into a large bowl and fold in the macaroni
  5. Grease and flour an 8 inche square baking pan
  6. Pour custard into prepared baking pan
  7. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until set
  8. Combine topping ingredients in a small bowl
  9. Spread over cooked custard
  10. Broil 2 or 3 minutes until topping is bubbly and golden brown
  11. Cover and refrigerate left overs
