Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp melted butter

Directions:

  1. Take one cup sifted flour and add sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  2. Resift.
  3. Beat one egg until light.
  4. Add one cup buttermilk.
  5. Combine sifted and liquid ingredientswith a few strokes.
  6. Beat in the melted butter.
