Ingredients:

  • crust
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • topping
  • 1 (10 1/2-oz) package frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. For crust, combine flour, sugar and butter. Press into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes, or until done. Cool.
  2. For topping, combine strawberries, egg whites and sugar in mixing bowl. Beat on high speed for 15 minutes. Add lemon juice. Fold in whipped cream. Spread over crust.
  3. Notes: Do not thaw strawberries or beat egg whites ahead of time.
