Quick Baking Powder Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp. shortening
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • also, you will need a pastry blender

Directions:

  1. Oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Sift the flour in a bowl.
  3. Stir in the baking powder and salt.
  4. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender until the mixture looks like peas.
  5. Make a well (kind of dig a hole in the center of the bowl till you can see the bottom) and stir in the milk with a fork.
  6. The dough should be making a ball by now. Knead it three times (more if needed).
  7. Press to one inch flat. Cut into biscuits.
  8. Bake for ten minutes and enjoy!!!
