Oatmeal Applesauce Squares

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup applesauce

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients except applesauce in a large mixing bowl. Beat at low speed until mixture is crumbly.
  2. Reserve 2 cups of the mixture and press remaining mixture onto bottom of greased 13 x 9 pan. Spread applesauce over base; sprinkle with reserved mixture.
  3. Bake at 400 F 25 - 30 mintues or until golden brown. Cool, cut into squares.
