Non Traditional Apple Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 can pie apples (410 g)
  • 37 ml margarine
  • 250 ml sugar (1 cup)
  • 3 eggs
  • 250 ml self raising flour (1 cup)
  • 63 ml milk
  • 5 ml baking powder (1 tsp)
  • 250 ml ideal milk - evaporated milk (1 cup)
  • 187 ml sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla essence (1 tsp)

Directions:

  1. Dough:
  2. Place can of pie apples in an ovenproof baking dish.
  3. Mix margarine and sugar together.
  4. Beat the eggs in.
  5. Gradually beat in the flour and milk.
  6. Beat in the baking powder.
  7. Pour mixture over pie apples.
  8. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  9. Sauce:
  10. Cook everything together until the sugar is melted.
  11. Take the pie out of the oven.
  12. Using a fork, make small holes in the pie.
  13. Pour over the sauce.
  14. Whip cream.
  15. Serve with cream.
