Mustard Sauce for Fish

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt (if fish stock is y, you might want to reduce or omit )
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 3 cups fish stock (sub chicken stock if you don'tsp have )
  • 2 tbsp prepared mustard (dijon is very nice , but any prepared mustard will do)

Directions:

  1. Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan; blend in flour and seasonings.
  2. Add fish stock gradually, stirring constantly until thickened then cook an additional three minutes.
  3. Add mustard and remaining butter.
  4. Serve with boiled lutfisk, haddock or cod.
