Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups shortening
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar and shortening.
  2. Add eggs and beat well.
  3. Next add applesauce and beat well.
  4. Blend all dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
  5. Blend well.
  6. Drop by tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until set.
